Save Money On Your Nails

Budget Beauty Bunny Series

I’m not the smartest girl in the world, but I’ve done the math.
I’ll show my work and stay in my lane.

I don’t know how into nails you are, but I’m pretty interested.
Google reports that nail salons charge between $20 to $50 for a basic set of long acrylic nails.
My mom and I used to get our nails done together.

This does not include the cute holiday or vacation added extra design prices. This theoretical set is a basic one-color polish.

Salon Basic Long Set Acrylic Nails$30.0014 daysThat price sounded about right to me, based on my experience and a sample of salons in my area.$780.00
Static Nails Pops For Champagne Velvet Effect Reusable Pop-On Manicures$24.0028 daysThe company claims lasts for up to 18 days.
I’m going to estimate that each set only lasts for up to 14 days (not the maximum time).
I’ve never bought these but looking at the details shows 12 sizes, so if only 10 sizes are useable by squeezing each set.

6 months to 12 months500 pieces – 10 sizes (50 nails for each size)
Disclaimer: I wear 4 sizes, but you might need 5 sizes.
You need 2 nails of each size of your fingers for a set, so I can make 12 sets per container solely for myself. Alternatively, 24 sets if you have different sizes for each of your fingers.
14 days at 200 useable nails (1 size needs 4 nails per set) = 12 sets
-cost per set totals $0.80
14 days at 250 useable nails = 24 sets
-cost per set totals $0.40
The company claims wearability can last from 14 to 30 days, assuming 14 days.

What Glue Are You Using?

Gorilla Glue Clear Super Glue Gel $7.98

NOTICE: I use this glue, but it does say not to adhere to the skin. I am under the impression that this glue is comparable to professional nail glue ingredients. This glue is waterproof and cheaper because it is not marketed as nail glue. I use this alternative and have found that it lasts me much longer and the container does not adhere itself shut like most other nail glues.
There is even a type of Gorilla glue that has a brush like a nail polish brush if you prefer that type of easy application method for all of your nails.
