My Recent Ulta Order

Surprise!

I did not expect to grab Peach & Lily’s Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream, but I was surprised by Ulta adding an additional day, thus making it 22 Days of Beauty. I normally wouldn’t treat myself to luxury skincare products, but the price was too good. This offer was a full-size product at the price of its travel-size counterpart.

Peptide Complex + Adenosine: celebrated proven ingredients to help target fine lines, wrinkles and leave skin visibly looking and feeling firmer, smoother and more lifted.”

Coming upon my birthday, this is a reminder of advice that I have been given by many mentors in the beauty industry. “It is never too early to do skin care.”

At the same time, I don’t think your nine-year-old or twelve-year-old need Drunk Elephant or Mario Badescu products. Honestly, save your money. Or whatever you prefer, but in my opinion, it is not worth divulging that much cash on a kid that has many variables influencing their skin to invest in a long-term skincare approach.

Ulta celebrates 21 Days of Beauty twice yearly, in March and September according to Ulta’s website.

Missing My Chance

During 21 Days of Beauty, these offers last for 24 hours. Below are my picks for these lip products from About-Face – Cruelty-Free Makeup By Halsey.
I used a website to confirm that on March 16th these lip products below were half-off, but I haphazardly left my cart and forgot to checkout.

I was disappointed that I missed the chance to purchase these products at a discounted rate, plus I do enjoy supporting Halsey. I kicked myself for weeks. Flash forward to yesterday (17 days later), Ulta’s additional day included all of the previous steals. I jumped.

As I mentioned, this extra day of beauty gave me another opportunity to grab these goodies.

In Case

I put these in my cart at the last minute because I’ve been acne prone my whole life, and Cole told me that he would use them too. That was enough to justify my order. I will keep you updated about what I think of these patches. Hopefully, I don’t need them too often.

Upcoming About-Face Review

I haven’t been able to get my hands on this line of makeup to be able to test this prior to purchasing it, so I am going in blind with the lip products from this collection.

My impression of the Matte Fluid Eye Paint in the shade “Smoke Signal” from Halsey’s collection was that it should be used by an experienced makeup user or someone that takes a free and artistic approach toward doing their makeup.

I only suggest that because the matte fluid eye paint is heavy on the fluid. If you are an inexperienced makeup user, then it is easy to let things get intimidating and messy.

Yes, Halsey is a rock star, but her fans are diverse. I would be concerned if someone who was experimenting with this product for the 1st time did so before school or work, especially with the bold color options. My recommendation is to take time to play with a product to get the user experience before taking it past your front door.

About-Face

About-Face is a cruelty-free makeup brand that offers high-quality products for people who want to express themselves through makeup without compromising on ethics or quality. Halsey’s personal journey with makeup has inspired the creation of a brand that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, and the brand’s commitment to cruelty-free and vegan formulations is a testament to its values.

Conclusion

Showcase to the world what you feel is the best version of yourself with practice and precision. Simple techniques to clean up lines give a crisp look to a bold makeup decision; that way you don’t distract from the person beneath the paint.
