Complementary Colors

Hello Beauties,

I am currently in the airport and waiting to get on a flight to Venice, Italy. I am incredibly tired after finals, so this is the perfect get-a-way.

I did this look for a meeting and induction ceremony on the same day. It is very important to choose makeup and lipsticks that match the season and outfit that you are going with. I think that I managed to pick the perfect lipstick from Colourpop called “Times Square” to match the darker tones of brown that I was going for. Personally, I look the best in nudes and earth shades. I am aware that blue eye shadow will never work for me. It is important to figure out what colors are going to match your eyes, hair color, and outfit.

I’m really excited about the color yellow lately with summer approaching. I think that anyone can look good in yellow, and it is a very workable color. It is fun and can be done in a classy way that will light up your face.

Check out your own eye shape to figure out what will work best for you. I struggle a lot with contour because I did not know the shape of my face based on charts. I had to watch a lot of tutorials and pick up on techniques for figuring out what would work best for me. If you are having this similar dilemma, try tilting your head down and looking at where the highest point of your checks are. Then, fill everything that casts a shadow in with a color that will cast a shadow.

I am bringing very minimal makeup with me on my trip to Italy, but I will be updating everyone with pictures and what my routine will be while on my trip. The insider scoop is that I did not bring eyeshadow at all. I wanted to eliminate the time it would take me to do my eyeshadow and force myself to get ready faster.

I did bring highlighter, so I do plan on glowing in the sunshine. I am very excited to explore this culture, eat tons of different foods, and see everything that there is to see. This will be an incredible journey.

Stay tuned

&

Stay beautiful.
